Purpose of the Project
The project focuses on increasing the maturity of DevSecOps processes and includes the development and support of applications based mainly on Java and JavaScript, using databases, application servers and technologies such as workflow, middleware, portals and XML.
Your Role in the Project
Support application teams in migrations and transitions to new standards, tools and technologies.
Development and maintenance of complex applications in Java and JavaScript.
Ensure application compliance with DevSecOps principles and implement tools to support security.
Fixing code quality errors detected by tools such as SonarQube.
Fixing security vulnerabilities detected by code analysis tools (e.g. AppScan).
Participate in status and ad-hoc meetings (on-site or online) and report progress in Jira and ServiceNow.
Create technical documentation in English according to required templates.
Prepare Proof of Concept to promote standard technologies at client institutions.
Audit the application for compliance with technology standards.
Investigating and recommending new technology solutions (Technology Watch) and conducting technical training and presentations.
Who are we Looking for to Join the Project Team?
Required competencies:
Experience in developing and maintaining complex Java/JavaScript applications
Expert knowledge of DevSecOps concepts and tools
Experience in fixing code quality bugs detected by tools such as SonarQube
Advanced knowledge of cyber security and experience in addressing security vulnerabilities detected by code analysis tools (e.g. AppScan)
Flexible approach and ability to quickly switch between different application contexts
Ability to work independently and organize own tasks
Experience working with technologies:
- Java/JavaScript
- Spring Boot
- GitOps
- SonarQube
- Databases: Oracle DB and PostgreSQL
- JUnit
Competence in cloud native applications (AWS) will be an added advantage
Good analytical skills and ability to see the big picture
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Good time management and work organization skills
Interpersonal, communication and documentation writing skills
Interest in agile methodologies (Agile)
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, particularly in web or JEE application development
Experience in supporting development teams
Providing and maintaining CMS packages and portals for development teams
Examination of technical solutions that meet requirements and monitoring of technologies (Technology Watch)
Conduct presentations and technical/utility training sessions
Prepare Proof of Concept to promote standard technologies at client institutions
Audit of applications for compliance with technology standards
Experience in IT development: JEE, web application development, etc.
Knowledge of content management techniques and corporate portals
Knowledge of development tools and IDE environments
Very good knowledge of English (level C according to Europass Language Passport). Good knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
Bachelor's degree
EU citizenship or work permit in Luxembourg
Onboarding
A maximum of 2 weeks (included in the rate), with the possibility of extending to 4 weeks in certain cases.
Required "train the trainer" methodology - effective knowledge transfer and smooth implementation
