Our client is a global pharmaceutical organization operating in a highly regulated environment and undertaking projects of strategic importance for product safety and regulatory compliance. The sought-after consultant was to join an international project team where daily collaboration takes place in English. The project was fully remote, B2B model, and full-time.

Purpose of the Project

Ensuring the continuity of the key SAP S/4HANA Product Compliance / Product Safety project by acquiring a replacement consultant for the expert who had been managing the project for over 6 years.

Finding a high-end ABAP specialist, capable of working independently and taking end-to-end responsibility for the assigned area.

Phase I – Understanding Context and Identifying Risks

The initial phase focused on a thorough understanding of the meaning of the role for the client and identifying potential risks arising from personnel changes. Special attention was paid to areas requiring knowledge transfer and the impact of the consultant change on project stability.

Phase II - Selection of an expert with equivalent seniority

Based on Lukardi's experience and network of contacts, a selective search process was conducted with the aim of reaching an independent expert with a comparable level of seniority and competence to the previous consultant.

Stage III – Planning and Coordination of Knowledge Transfer

Lukardi was responsible for: planning and coordinating knowledge transfer sessions, orderly handover of project knowledge, and active management of the risk associated with the departure of a key expert. This allowed the new consultant to gradually take over responsibility in a controlled and safe manner.

Stage IV – End-to-End Responsibility

The newly hired consultant successfully took over the full scope of project responsibilities, achieving complete operational independence. The entire recruitment process was completed in approximately one month.
